In the South East, where living space comes at a premium, flat roofing is the perfect way to make to increase the usable space within your property.

A flat roof also gives you an additional area that (depending on the structure and the covering used) could be used as a roof deck. The ease of access also makes repairing and cleaning them much easier.

Flat roofs are generally more cost-effective to install than traditional pitched roofs as they have less surface and use less materials.

Covering & Insulation

There are two primary types of insulation to choose from for flat roofing projects.

Felt

Felt covering is a longer lasting option for flat roofing, but is not suitable for frequent foot traffic. Because of this, felt coverings should be avoided on structures such as balconies and roof terraces.

Fibreglass

Fibreglass covering is flexible and can be easily moulded around features such as roof lights. If you intend to spend time on top of your roof and not just underneath it, then fibreglass is the clear winner.

We can run through these options with you during a site visit, call us today to arrange a chat and a free quote.
